A specialized tread compound is molded into the symmetric pattern of the Destination A/T2. Engineered to blend off-road capability with a comfortable and quiet ride, the high-void pattern features a solid center rib that provides constant contact with the road. The full-depth grooves of Firestone's HydroGrip Technology package help enhance wet weather handling and, combined with the increased see-through void, improves hydroplaning resistance. The aggressive shoulder pattern helps to improve handling off-road, while Stone Rejecters between the tread blocks are designed to reduce damage from stone drilling. The heavily siped features of the Destination A/T2 plus notches in the independent tread blocks and center rib deliver traction in snowy or icy conditions and help the tire earn the 3PMSF symbol. Internal construction of the Destination A/T2 features a robust, two-ply polyester casing to blend durability and ride quality.
